Great advice but im just afraid that they wont be 09's, I mean nobody can find rolls, and I turn out to be special??? I mean i have lots of doubts, and my dad cant even send pics through email..he's 66 and not too computer savvy. I just got done talking with him and the bank will not let him buy rolls, he has to buy the entire bag of $500 and $250 respectively which he buy after i told him how much 1 dime is selling for. He's offered to send me his rolls as well to auction off but i wont flood the market

Wish me luck everyone...i could use a few extra bucks and surely my dad could use the funds since he only lives on SS. If they do turn out to be solid rolls Ill get auctions up with stock photos

And with that, I just listed a second 2009 dime to strike while the iron is hot. This one is for 24 hours only, so it will be the first one sold on Ebay as it will close before the first. I figured that the other one has 50 people watching it in less than 24 hours and the bid is $26, so its up.

To quote the quotable Tmoneyeagles: Hey, piranas, let the feeding begin!

    LOL!!!! :D
I don't believe I said anything on the piranas, but hey, still funny... :)
Yeah, yeah, and yay, sell these while they are hot, kudos to you, you are selling a coin, with a mintage in the millions of millions, for more than $20 each...sounds good to me

    Hi rodzm,

coasterfan here. Glad to see you found your way over here. The discussion is just starting to heat up. Wish we had someone in Puerto Rico who could help facilitate the auctions if the nickels and dimes turn out to be 2009. I know what it's like when a relative is not able to help out much. My Mom has a first-strike-eligible UHR but I don't trust her to do anything with it except sit on it until I'm able to come down and pick it up!

No guilt here....I just feel fortunate. The 2nd one's been up 13 mintues and no bids yet. Go out and be the first! Hurry!!!!

    lol

Hey coasterfan!!!!...some will go your way if they turn out to be 09's. I'll stand behind my promise. I believe he will be going to the bank tomorrow to pick up the 2 bags. So with that being said I should have an answer tomorrow. If they are...let the feeding begin!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those that buy bulk coins, since they are bagged what are the chances of them not being 09's. I mean theyre specifically setting these 2 bags aside for him so I find it hard to believe that these will be nothing but 09's. Unless of course they pre-bag random nickels and dimes.

I find it rather weird that they are requiring for him to purchase the bags as opposed to single rolls

Can you make out the paperwork for a FedEx pickup, and do it for your mom?

Tmoney: You are right, it wasn't you! It was Platfanatic who said this:

"$20.59???!!! WTF. This is like watching a piranha feeding."

Instead of just sending in an envelope with a stamp, I'm going to send these with proof of delivery with the cost going so high, hence, I raised the shipping.

Only one bid on the 2nd one....in the meantime, the first one (which closes later) is up to $28. At some point, they'll all see that there is one there sitting at 10 cents..............I hope.........lol

    The insanity continues.

The first one I put up, with 1 day and 22 hrs left, has crossed the $30 threshhold by a couple of Lincolns.

The 2nd coin, with 21 hrs and 19 minutes left, is at $1.01. The first coin has increased by 4 dollars since the first one went up even though it ends afterward.

This is like watching a car accident....I can't stop looking.

the mint might produce billions of dime and nickel for its strategic coin reserve. only if approved. this is just like the strategic oil reserve. in time of need. the mint can deliver them and can not cause coin shortage in the future.
