Mine is set for delivery for 5/29. I already have one set up on ebay. I'm just glad they are shipping FedEx so that we know it will be delivered ontime. Of course, the fact that I work for FedEx has nothing to do with my previous statement....

I think that is the general idea :)

I wish I could cancel my order, but without that option, I'm getting ready to dump them on ebay ASAP after they arrive. Any premium you get with the LP2 pennies will never be higher than it is right now IMO.

I'll just buy the 1 set for the final two so I can complete the 8-roll set.........these have tought me a lesson. The Mint set us up and I took it hook, line and sinker !!!!

Anyone else have their shipment not updating on FedEx's website? Mine has been stuck in Indiana since the 21st and I haven't had an update since then. Estimated delivery date is May 29 though.

Wow! I've never seen so many speculators and those just wanting to turn a buck on these. Doesn't anyone just collect to collect anymore?

    I collect, just to collect!
But you have to understand, not everybody has a good budget to play around with
I have a low, low budget. I have no job, and no source of income, other than what I get paid for my grades, and any profits I make off of coins
If I can't make profits, I have no money
I buy coins, I don't want, sell them for money, for coins I do want.
There is more to collecting than just collecting! (Unless you have a perfect budget, and can afford everything you want)
If somebody said, here are these rolls, take them for $10, and you know you could sell for $20, wouldn't you?

That's what I am doing. Quick profit is a good motivator, but I collect coins, not sell them, and I definitely don't speculate on them.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed this time around. Just too many being sold to carry any sort of premium. I think the large lot buyers are going to take a bath on these.

That would certainly suck since I ordered them around 12:20PM the day of the sale.

You are right all 10 of mine have sold and shipped, for 25% what my first LP1 went for. No more LP3, LP4 for me. Lesson learned.

My order was the same time as yours.

Question about the "First Day of Issue" title.
Those of us that ordered on the first day of LP2 would get this designation from PCGS as long as the individual roll set box was sealed. Correct?

Not planning to send them in but I was just curious as to how that phrase worked in this case.

Well, sure. I plan on keeping one of the rolls for myself. What I really want is one of the Lincoln Chronicles proof sets that will be out later this summer. Sales should be limited to 50,000 sets. I look at the very intelligent and discerning LP buyers on ebay as a means to defray some of the cost of that set. If they're willing, who am I to say 'no'?

go for it, t$. I hope a lot of people get mad at this issue and don't buy the next one. If enough people think that way, the mintage of the 3rd will be smaller.

I don't believe PCGS gives that designation to penny rolls.

    The mintage???
They all have to be minted before they are put in rolls... And the mint would know how many rolls they have, right?
