Hey gang! does anyone know this stuff? I don't often see this stuff and I don't have a reference for it. Anything going on here as far as something being a better piece?

Thanks in advance for the help!

The first one is a bond for 200 rubles from 1941. It is not a piece of currency.

I thought it was a bond but was unsure as to what type? do you know if it is savings or possibly treasuary? I know it is for a 20 year period LOL

It is a lottery bond. The table of redemption is at the bottom on the back. It is probably a savings bond as most lottery bonds were. It is different from the war bonds issued by the soviets during this period, however. These have military vignettes on the face.

Lottery bonds were commonly issued in Eastern Europe and parts of Asia. They offered pay outs on redemption higher than the nominal interest rate to a limited number of holders.
