On the next bid from me close the auction. I want that coin. It's going straight to Sotheby's Auctions.

Come on. play along. What is your guess as to the final price. In one hour it is at $.25. Take a shot...

I guess my million dollar guess was a little high :p. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for $1.50.

My guess is $2.75. The Philly dime is the highest mintage of the four nickels and dimes. If it was the Denver dime, my guess would have been $5.

    So what happened everybody????
This rare key date, of a dime, you spoke so much of, gets listed on ebay, and everybody is guessing below $5...
OUCH! Well, I think this helps my argument move right along...THESE ARE NOT RARE

So what is your guess Tmoneyeagles? Though I agree they are not rare after reading your logic in previous posts, they are rare RIGHT NOW for the impatient ebayers out there.

Take a shot, this will be fun.

I honestly would have believed at first, that this dime would have sold for around $20 and even more, for un willing to wait collectors
    BUT
After seeing bidding activity, and knowing that you just listed it, and buyers are not typing in 2009 dime everyday, because they know nobody has found one, this dime will sell under $10, but you WILL get more than face

Well this is a circulated one. I'm not going to say with a mintage that high they are rare, but look at what the Lp1 Lincolns did. I think many people will hear lowest mintage since the 50s, and 1/10 the mintage of last years, and prices might be crazy for awhile, especially since it looks like there not going to be circulating much.

Nope T$ they are not rare but I wish all who are selling them all the luck. When october hits and the mint goes into overdrive minting more nicks and dimes then the hoopla will die out.My guess is maybe 2.25 for the dime.

Please remember folks the mint works on a fiscal year rather than jan to dec.

I think it will bring over $10 . . . Yup, that's my guess. First one on eBay!

true but also remember that without congressional approval (it's NOT unprecedented) coins must be dated in the years they are meant to circulate. meaning that if they wait until the end of the fiscal year it will already be 2010, and if they only wait until December the coins will likely be dated 2010 as well.

But I do think that it is sound advice to not pay huge premiums as the Mint may make more of these if demand for the coins (by the Fed) is there.

Well, I'm wrong already. It is up to $2.25. It looks like I need to put the others up as well....

Don't flood the market wait until buyer #1 has paid. Then put on one more, and repeat. You're already getting more than the proofs.

I wouldn't put more than one on there at a time Bob. Right now, you have a monopoly. Otherwise somebody might just say, hmmmmm, I'll just wait and see if the price comes down on the next one.

Right now, you're the only game in town. jmo

Bob is that you selling them on eBay?

I was one of the bidders. I would rather work with the seller privately if I can.

Sound advise. I'll keep it. If it goes to a super high figure, I could do a 2nd chance bid for them as well, or maybe just put another up. I just checked and it has 34 views and 6 watchers. It has more hits than any of my other items I've sold (I'm new to ebay and have only sold 16 items total).

You all were right. Several stated to put it up, and I kinda laughed. I finally did it today because so many said to do it. Thanks for the advice....

I am the one that drove the bid over $2, but I am not going to start a bidding war over a new dime.
