I finally asked permission to hunt the local drive in theater. I was only there for maybe an hour and found over three dollars in clad. My sons big find of the day was a cell phone someone lost in the grass below the screen. The owner called the phone and was happy to be able to get it back. Not happy enough to offer a reward but we were glad to do a good deed. The drive in will take a while to hunt. There is clad all over in the gravel and all the signals in the grass are a little overwhelming. I finally had to discriminate out some of the trash signals and concentrate on dimes and Quarters. I can't wait to go back out. I am hoping to find my first silver coin there. Oh, and about the rare half cent. It is a 1995 D half cent, well more like a 3/5 or 2/3 cent. Below is a pic
Sounds like a fun day...No silver, but just finding change is always fun When I used to go to splashtown, I'd go diving down in their little smooth sailing river thing they had, with inner tubes. I swam down under, and found over $5 in change that day, and a diamond earring!
You got that right, and I have really had the detecting bug lately. I think I feel a sniffle coming on.
Hey Conder101 matchmaker (http://www.cointalk.com/forum/t54358/) needs some help finding a 3 cent silver, and HToad a one dollar gold, and myself I can't find a IHC. They're all indoors and we sure could use the help.
