Two new finds

    my wife was talking to a friend who owns a selfserve carwash business--the kind you put quarters in. She had to roll a couple weeks worth of quarters and my wife volunteered me.

    My finds in rolling $900 of quarters today:
    20 bicentenial quarters for my son
    2 Puerto Rico quarters and about a dozen Washington DC

    A foreign coin (Anyone know what it is?) pictured below.

    AND, drum roll please, my first silver quarter in YEARS!

    Take a look at the 'I' in "In" is that lean normal?

    a silver find is always a good find.

    China, Peoples Republic (Y-1069) 1 Yuan or Dollar (Chromium-Plated Steel) : 1999-
    Obv Legend: 中国人民银行 (ZHONGGUO RENMIN YINHANG) YI YUAN 1 date
    Obv Desc: Chinese characters above denomination and date
    Rev Legend: ZHONGGUO RENMIN YINHANG
    Rev Desc: Chrysanthemum, RMB repeated three times on edge

    The I in IN is old damage from a rolling machine

    I've never heard of damage from a rolling machine. Excuse my ignorance, but how would that effect a letter on the coin?
