1987 West Point 1 ounce fine silver Silver Eagle with w mint mark

Everything I've read, these wasn't made. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, that is not a real coin. Rather crude design.

 

I hope you didn't blow much money on it.

Looking at your other posts, you either are purposely getting fakes or you consistently are getting hosed

i didn't take it out and look at it. i will now.

 

it's in a plastic hard case that's scratched all up. but still gonna try to get it out of it.

 

Wherever you get these, stay away!

 

The first thing I look at on these coins is the sun. This one is flat, while real coins have a more rounded look.

 

They shine like the real thing should. Criminals are getting better at counterfeiting.

 

I'm sorry muzzman, but this is a pretty plain to see fake.

Note the feather detail and the crispness of the lettering. Yours is a little more cartoony.

 

the little line between the r and o down at silver and one isn't the same either. thanks for your help. it's illegal to sell fakes without copy stamped on it. these kind of people should be in jail. thanks again.

i did some work for it. not much like 20.00. but still not right for people to be doing this.

This is in no way a good fake. This is obviously counterfeit

 

I hate to say it but if you consistently are getting hosed like this, with such obvious counterfeits, maybe this hobby isn't right for you.

This, sorry to say, is probably the worst counterfeit I have seen.
