Why would anyone wish for their post to be edited as well
not to mention the 1916/17 wasn't my post, so is the post you are questioning my wishes of editing leigh's quarter post or my original Hungary 500 Forint, or my post of opinionated protest to the descrimination of world currency? I am confused of which of mine or others post you are offering (theatening) to edit? :kewl:

He is talking about Lehigh's quarter. I really didn't see anything wrong with the coin, but as the rules say: "keep it like a 1950s television show". You definetly wouldn't see that on 'Leave it to Beaver". I knew I really shouldn't have posted that pic, but I guess I had to set an example by having my post edited. Sorry!

P.S. What Dollar1948 said was just not right, BTW.

I completely agree that what Dollar1948 said was not right, but I also feel that one with editing power shouldn't make implied threats just because they can. I feel that posting coins that were approved for circulation by any world government should be alowed to be viewed ;) also I find it ironic that a coin that the U.S. approved for circulation, but that mass complaint of the public got changed is left by Speedy editer where as a coin depicting the same thing by another nation, but with color, but that didn't get altered is edited :D

I think if the coin offends somebody, that they should just grow up, and see the beauty of it
I find naked people, used in art, and in coins, as just that, NOTHING ELSE
I don't think, that just because a coin, has a natural human body on it, makes it porn...
I think coins have beauty to them, even with the full bodied nude liberty women, and really, those are some of the nicest.

Yes, but with the colouring it showed too much detail and it wasn't a circulating coin, it was a commerative, so the general public wouldn't have an outcry liek the quarter. Besides you have to set a limit to what to post because at what Dollar1948 suggested, it was quickly getting out of hand. And I have to admit it was my fault, I started it.:vanish:(just take away the mad face and put a nuetral face on the emoticon).:D

I am confused. How can a coin that is/was circulating currency be pornographic? There is a big difference between nudity as it relates to the art world and that of the adult entertainment variety. If nudity exists on a coin that is/was and actual circulating currency of any country, it should be permitted to be posted on this site IMO. If not, then a detailed explanation of the reason for the censorship including the liability risk associated to the owners/operators of the site should be provided to the members of the site.:headbang:

Well, at least to my small knowledge-bank, nobody said anything about them being pornographic. I personally see absolutly nothing wrong with nudity as art as long as it doesn't cross any thresholds. But the moderators just want to keep to a certain standard so nothing will get out of hand.

Yes, but it was still minted with the Authorization of Cuba as being acceptable as currency, whether circulating or not and should be exempt from editing:mouth:

Futher more, to my knowledge no world government has to date issued a coin marked as currency that would constitute pornography, and if backed by a government should be alowed to be viewed in my Post and my Thread for educational purposes. lol

"keep it like a 1950s television show" Does this mean that African coins have to be deleted or do they just have to be sent to the back of the bus. ROTFL

Yes the 1950's tv shows did go to far, that's why they were changed in the 60's;)

Not your post ;) In the quote that I was replying to, you said something about the pic' before your last post....that is what I was going on....but I knew it wasn't you ...just a mind, to finger, to keyboard, error.

Sorry - it was not meant as a threat -
    How old are you?...14?

    First of all:
Since day one this forum has been family friendly - IMHO that coin went over the line. There have always been coins that we have not allowed to be posted here on CT -
Maybe a detailed list of each coin that is "banned" should be posted sometime, but I'm not sure that is an undertaking that any of the Mod's have time to take on right now.

If anyone have disagreements about this, I welcome the feedback -

    Speedy

Speedy, thank you for the further clarification. But you are being mean again in implying that tmoneyeagles is 14. and you did only take a tiny peace of his statement in the quote to make him look bad?
