Holy Moley! I haven't seen an IHC in change since the 1960's!! (Of course, I never "searched" before . . . but I did pay attention to my change!)

Now, consider . . . how many people must have spent that penny before you got it!

 

I have a friend with an arcade. He lets me go through his change. This past weekend, I went through $45 dollars of dimes, $10 of nickels, and $2 of pennies. Don't have much to show for it:

2 Wheats from the 40s
2 2009 dimes
1 1992 Panama coin (this was cool)
A few fine nickels from the 40-50s (no wartime ones)
A couple of other keepers that are AU in great shape.

That's it. But, I had a blast doing it.

I've never gotten a box of pennies before, is that where you are getting some mercs and stuff? Maybe I'll order one from my bank...

 

The 09 Dimes amaze me...
You need to take them to ebay!

 

I forgot, I got one log cabin as well.

He's bringing me $500 of quarters this weekend...

How did those slabs fit into the rolls?

The IHC was dugup at some point. Full of dirt.

I just posted in the error coin section pics of a 13% Off Center 2000P Lincoln Cent that I almost missed.

Of course I go through much more volume than others.

What the hey, I decided to throw everything I found today on the scanner and scan it for you guys.

 

As for '09 coins, other than a couple rolls of Denver Washington DC and 2 rolls of Philly Log Cabins, I haven't sniffed any new coins. And they are already done making nickels and dimes for the year.

 

Got a box of pennies today....been through 10 rolls...found 1 2009-D log cabin, 2 wheats (1951-D and 1953-D), and 1 canadian cent. I also went through a roll of dimes...found a 1960 silver dime..finally got 1 silver!!

 

GOt a bicentenial Ike today. Couple of days ago got 2 mexican $1 coins and a 2cent euro from the netherlands. You can see my paper finds in my paper money post, You friendly neighborhood Noost strikes again.

 

I found a 1919 Lincoln in a roll last night. I think it is my oldest roll find so far!

Thanks I'm very optimistic about this box...hope to find more interesting things..I guess I'll finish the box over the weekend and post my finds. I'm also considering getting more dimes...wouldn't hurt to find some more silver!

 

Did a box of pennies, $40 in dimes and $10 in nickels.

1x silver dime 1947
10x wheaties
about a half dozen random s mint pennies and dimes
a few older nickels...nothing too good

I have another 15 rolls of pennies and a box of halves to go through.

The best find this week was a seller on ebay selling 40% halves for $2. That is a tad under melt value and shipping was free. I got 15 of each 1968 and 1969. About 90% of them are easily 63's or better
