Almost missed this one. Coin Counter rejected it at least twice. I'm so used to pennies getting rejected that I automatically pick them up and throw them back in. When I'm done, I just put the remainder of the rejects in my pocket to spend. Well when I was done, this last remaining coin was still in the reject chute. Using MS PhotoEditor and counting pixels, I came up with ~13% off center.
I need to search around my local banks to find out who has a coin counter that I can use. I have about $100 worth of Zinc pennies, I really don't want to have to roll those buggers 50 at a time.
So you initially missed this when searching through the bag? If so, it's a good thing the machine rejected it! Nice find.
I use a ryedale and focus on the coppers. I keep an eye on the zinc pile for old wheats, IHC's and other interesting coins. I'm still looking for a couple of the early 80's in AU or better condition. This one escaped my attention.
