Series 1928 silver certificates

can anyone tell me potential value on these two silver cert.'s? images below

The experts will be around soon. Do you have pics of the reverses, and are they raw? That #1 sure is pretty!

 

the #1 note will fecth a value based purely on its serial. and it willbe hefty! the seond note, while wont fetch anything close to the #1 note, will fecth some The second note has a cool serial too, but not nearly as cool as the #1 But even stil, i think the second note will go for $300 or so.

 

That first note definitely has large value because of the serial but I have no idea what.

 

Awesome SN's............from the pics they appear crisp...how would you grade condition

They look so crisp, and the first one, like the others said, will fetch you some dough!!!
I am by no means, an expert on these certs, so I can't appraise them for you..Although I can say this, the look Uncirculated...

 

Nice notes...love the #1 SN SC.

First thing I would do is to get both notes graded, if not already!
Then the xxxxxxx1 SN note could be better valued. Yes I know grading is subject to opinion, however, guy's wiuth the money to buy a note like this will want them graded, unless they have it in hand to look at.

The #1 note will get a very nice premium to say the least....the repeater will as well, but nothing like the SN #1 note.

I've been watching this thread for few hours and I cannot take it anymore. The pictures are clearly fake - the guy didn't even done any good job to blend the background on the serial#.

These look authentic...They are nice, notes...

look at the white space around the SN. Clearly a different shade of white. Very basic photoshop effort. The numbers on the 123 do not even appear in a straight line to the naked eye.

 

The different shade of white on any note, can be common, just due to being in a wallet, or catching dirt somewhere on it
Now as for the second picture, with the serial numbers not being 100% straight, I can see how that could be a possibility, but my question to anyone who thinks this is fake, is, why would somebody coming here, asking what the value of their bills were, FAKE A PICTURE... It doesn't make sense... Why would there be a point of coming here, and showing fake pictures, and asking the value of them???

 

Wow ..so I go back and look closer at the bills. It does appear that there could be some issues with the bills being fake. I am like Tmoney ..............WHY?

 

I understand that a different shade of white is possible for wear and tear, or even an effect from the photo or scan, but this white space forms a perfect rectangle. Looking at the full size photo of of the 001 photo all the space around the zero's are one shade, the space around the 1 is different yet, and the letters have a third shade of white.

I can't speak to their motivation...I just chalk it up to something they thought might be a good idea but looks odd to someone from the outside. Have you ever see someone at the store wearing their pajama's at 2 in the afternoon?

 

Yes I go to the store in my pajimas every other Wednesday at 2...
Well they still look real... But I guess getting them graded would be the next step

I just want to let you know that the SN#s are not always in a straight row!
If you look at Dr. Bartts error books you will see that SN# can be effected by a few varaibles. I would not say that this makes them fake! I have many notes where SN#s are not in a perfect row!!

If they are fake, then so what!! The #1 SN on these do exist and they are extremely expensive! The last $100 I saw like this went for 130K.

Do not judge by SN alignment..you will get burned everytime!

I looked closer as well and the serial number are definitely faked. If you want to see it a little clearer, open up the serial #1 note image, right click and select 'Copy Image', then open up the standard Windows Paint program and paste the image in. Then go to View menu->Zoom->Large Size and look at the serial numbers. It's obvious that a single digit 0 was duplicated 13 times and used for all the other zeroes on the note. Also, Numbers may know more than me on this one, but shouldn't a serial #1 note be in plate position A? The cut & paste job on the 0123 repeater note is even worse. Whoever did it didn't even take the time to blend in the background.

 

I am with RickieB on this one... serial numbers do not always line up!!!

BUT... you just cant argue with Magmans proof!

Hopefully the OP didnt know ... otherwise, i can show him a short pier for his long walk

That is amazing work there... But serial numbers don't always line up...
I wonder what a TPG would say....
