That's crazy. I can't believe someone would pay that kind of money. :rolling:

There is a set on ebay currently, last time I looked the bid was $320+change. HSN was selling a pair of ANACS MS-67 first day of issue @ $29.95. Yesterday they raised the price by $5.00 to $34.95. People that bought these on HSN are selling and basically doubling their money.

I haven't bought any rolls so I thought I would see how something works out more long term, I bought a set of NGC MS-66. I will always have a nice set of coins, weren't that expensive to buy. Did I sort of get caught up in the hype? No, I don't think so, I didn't buy them to sell anyway, I think they will remain very popular. If you disagree with me don't hesitate to disagree, I'm ready, but realize with S&H it's less than $40.00.

I think we should all take a moment and recognize the significance of this statement. This is truly one of those "hell froze over" and "when pigs fly" times. Who would have ever thought you could make a profit buying a coin from HSN. :D

I just purchased 2 rolls (P,D) that were from the U.S.Mint at a local coin show for $23.00. I don't plan on selling them. They will be given to my son when he gets a little older.

I refuse to buy these coins for such a high price I bet anything that this false demand subsides soon, there is only so much pent up demand because people are hoarding trying to make a quick buck

Well, if you can get these rolls for face, then get the nice ones graded, if they come back 67+, then you have just made yourself a nice profit. :)

I don't have any intent of ever selling them. I have spent a lot more than this on things in my life that wew much more questionable, it it not a fortune folks, regardless of what happens I can say I had some fun, who knows at this point.

Only if you're one of the first to do it. As more of these rolls get cracked open and coins submitted...more MS67s and such will appear and cause the value to plummet. The prices are high right now because these coins are a fad and since they are so new not that many have been graded (thus there are very low populations for the high grades).

Yes but a 68 has not been graded, and that will bring big money...
As will 69's and 70's...IF THEY EVER GET FOUND

I know that. But, with modern business strike coins...MS67s tend to be obtainable by the time enough have been graded, MS68+ are nearly impossible to find. Chances of finding one in a roll and making that money are like the chances of winning the lottery.

 For the love o' ken lol, sorry I couldn't resist.

As for the cents if I had some of the mint rolls I would definitely open them up, and send the best ones off for grading.
