The play off question will be posted here Saturday at 5:00 PM To make this fair for both Dursin and Dready to have the same time to respond since one of these two guys has a work situation that has to be addressed. Please guy's do not disclose who....that's personal and can not be avoided. So with that in mind, the question will be presented at 5:00 PM Saturday afternoon right here on this thread.....it must be answered by midnight, yep that's right, the first answer into me before or by midnight wins the note! It is sudden death here! Well sort of.. the loser gets the 2nd place prize!! SO be prepared tomorrow for 5:00 PM and bring your thinking caps ..you are going to need it!! Good luck to you both!! :thumb:  RickieB
the 'loser' gets 2nd place... heck i dont think there is a loser between those two prizes! both are great! good luck you two! if the first 3 elements are any indication, you are in for a tough challenge ahead of you lol
Time restraints for Play-Off Players Well it seem that both players have a time situation with my suggested contest time. So in all fairness to each of them, I have sent a PM to both players asking what would be a good time for them. When I hear back from both Dursin and Dready, I will again post here. RULES: The play-off question will have a "time stamp" requirement! Thus meaning that the player who responds first, within the alloted time or before the time has expired, with the correct answer and the fastest time stamp, will be the Winner! If your answer is partially correct and not complete, yet you have a faster time stamp than your opponent, however, his answer is 100% correct...well I suppose you know the answer to that story right? So stay tuned as it starts to play out! Waiting tohear from Dready and Dursin. Regards, RickieB
Well I have heard fom both players...seems now that 5:00 PM is good...My son and his friends want to see the new Star Trek movie..so I'm taking them....I get to see it too!! So with that I will post the Playoff question at 7:00 PM tonight right here!! Good luck you two!! Dready and Dursin...please be signed on at 7:00 PM and I will look for each of you as online. Once I see that then the question comes. The expiration time is MidNight!! Yep...you got it...Midnight It should onl take about 10 min if you both think about it!! See you at 7:00 PM East Coast time!! RickieB
Yes Sir! Enjoy the movie. Been thinking about taking my boys to see it as well so let me know if it was worth it!
Have fun ! I'm home and I'll be here at 7.Good Luck Dursin ! Thanks RickieB...............................................John
Response request for Dursin and Dready Dursin... I see you are here... waiting for Dready... Please each of you respond to this.
I am an old trekie for the by gone days... Go see it!! I thought it was very good!! My son and his friends loved it!! RickieB
Now I know you were not expecting something like this...hahah I thought this would provide an even playing ground!! Play-Off Question: In my collection you will find Large Size Notes including Obsoletes, Business College and Remainders. “Carefully” add up the face value of all “Large Size notes” in my collection (trust me when I say carefully) and once you have the sum, determine it’s square root! Once you have that, determine the multiple that leads you a value of 6295.64 Once you have that, find the note in my collection that you believe was retailed for that amount! Tell me it’s SN# and who engraved both the front and reverse designs! The Fr # Tell me who this person (front of the note) was, and what he did! There you have it….first correct answer wins the note with the fastest time stamp!! Remember the word “carefully” one mistake in the math will lead to failure!!” Good Luck you guy’s RickieB Answers should have the following: 1. Value (face) of the notes (in a whole number) 2. Square Root of that number (xx.xx) 3. The Multiple that leads to the given value.(xxx.xx) 4. The Note’s SN# (xxxxxxxx) 5. Who engraved it (both face and back) 6. The FR# 7. Who the person was 8. What this person did! I have already done the calculations and know the correct numbers!!
I liked it as well. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know there are some inconsistencies with the story line (which is a little annoying)...but that's OK. I thought it was pretty well written and a fun story.
wow.. there are SO many ways this one could go wrong! especially with such a subjective answer with guessing at a price paid for a note good luck dursin and dready!!!!
