Leave the temper. He is mincing the facts in my opinion, claims that the payment was never made.

I just wanted people to know I do pay and quickly most times I apology to a seller if I don't pay within a few hours.

He kept giving me a story of how he couldn't get his money from paypal or something like that. He finally asked me to cancel the transaction and I agreed. I was going to give the coins to my son for his birthday. A person I know sold me 25 Buffalo's for $25 all were in VF or better in an album my son loved them. Ice

Sometimes you have to let a your deal go. You got a refund and his ebay name is known (it's been deleted by CT by now) so, just drop it. You don't need the aggravation, do you?

what happened to the link? Anyway , I am sorry to hear that happened to you or anyone else for that matter. This is just my personal opinion , but I think if someone is selling coins , they would first be offering to those fellow collectors they have had good and lengthy relationships with in order to get a fair and reasonable offer. Evidently , this seller has no such relationships or contacts , and to list the coins so far below, what he considers to be a fair price and than back off the deal.....Buy from people you consider and "know" to be reputable.

Good Work... Everything happens for a reason, maybe this guy was a bad seller, and you were the first to sniff him out... :high5:

To top it off I emailed another seller I've done business with and he gave me a good deal on some Buffalos he had. So I feel I actually came out on top and my son got a cool birthday present.

    Ebay trouble

:headbang: I also have had trouble with sellers lately . The only way I bid on a item is when Ifind a item Iam interested in, I enter that item in item being watched. I then contact seller to see if they will accept a POSTAL MONEY ORDER. If they agree i keep the rely from the seller in a file under bidding transactions.
If I win the bid I KEEP EVERY E-MAIL AND POSTAL MONEY ORDER IN THIS FILE UNTIL ITEM IS RECEIVED . Since sellers are not really to accept money orders I keep this for evidence, If the seller backs out. Usually the seller does not keep a copy of the transaction. If the seller tries to give me a strike I contact EBAY dispute and enter all my files, usually the seller is surprised that I have caught him in a lie.
Afew sellers have been banned from EBAY for this reason. Now days times are hrd ! I myself am on LTD and money is tight. If it was not for my wife giving me a little money to buy coins or supplies i could not enjoy this great hobby. I also am tired of being walked on :loud:

I know a seller can file a non-paying bidder strike on a buyer and if he gets three strikes he's gone. They don't advertise it but I believe there is also a way to file a non-performing seller strike on a seller as well which is also a three strikes your out as well. (Although since the sellers pay the fees it may just be a suspension for them.) No did some searching it seems they got rid of it. But you can give them 1 star on everything and lower their rating so they have to pay higher fees, an if their average drops too low their account can be restricted.

I've had a bad experience where a seller didn't put "no paypal" as a courtesy note in the item description (of course, this was long before ebay made paypal mandatory), I left appropriate feedback and ebay sided with the seller against me just because I refused to send a check to some snob with whom I haven't done previous business (I'm ok with sending checks to people/businesses I trust, but it takes an initial transaction with a trackable payment such as paypal or a credit/debit card before I feel comfortable sending a check or money order to the person). Now that ebay is making paypal mandatory, I feel alittle more comfortable buying on ebay knowing paypal will always be accepted, but I still buy sparingly on ebay because of that bad experience. A site I like better than ebay is http://moneyauctionz.com
