My favorite teller did it again. I went to the bank for my Friday 6 rolls of cents and she had 10 Lincolns set aside for me. Here is the list. 1- 1921, 1-1937, 1-1944 S, 2- 1944 plain, 1-1951 D in AU, 1-1954 D, 1-1957 D and 2- 2009 log cabin cents. :thumb: I was exited, then I checked the 6 roll plus 4 roll from a different bank and found exactly zero wheat cents.
Well I'd like to know how people get a good relationship with their tellers... My bank tellers are all rude... I'd like to have some tellers that set wheats aside...
Good idea Ziggy, thanks. I have been pretty lucky finding nice tellers like that. It seem like the smaller the bank the better luck I have.
Well the ones I have are very rude, in the way they say things to me... Wonder why? T$ "Do you have any 2009 pennies?" Teller "No" T$ "Can you please check, and see if you did" Teller "Nope" T$ "Anyway I can be notified when you get them in" Teller "We are never getting them" T$ "Okay, thank you, have a nice day"
Chocolates? Here's the reaction you'll get :goof: Bring her something with a little more thought and something she'll use...most women love skin care, so bring in nice bottle of scented hand/body lotion from Bath & Body Works. I mean dude, she thinks of you and goes through the trouble of cherrypicking coins...that's quite a special gal. -LTB
Something discreet and unobtrusive. I think a nice thankyou card should suffice. The guys make some great suggestions but I but I think that all in all the things they suggest may be too personal in nature. How well do you know this gal? You don't want to be sending the wrong signals....
Nah, green18; you're looking waaay too much into it...she's doing something nice for him, and he is giving her a token of his appreciation; nothing more than that. Chocolates to satisfy her sweet tooth or some nice hand lotion to keep her hands smooth after all the cherrypicking she has done for him. I mean if she felt that viper may try to go beyond friends/acquaintances, she wouldn't be cherrypicking coins for him in the first place. I'm thinking their unspoken boundaries were established long ago. -LTB
The chocolates will be shared with the other tellers and soon ALL the tellers will be looking for you! It says "thank you" AND gets others looking! Women aren't as likely to share skin products. Richard
Now what is it with these chocolates now... NOW I'M HUNGRY... C'mon guys, I need to loose about 10 pounds...
No, the chocolates will induce the onset of zits that the skincare products will not be able to control and then you'll have a bank full of angry tellers.....
Those chocolate coins we all used to get in our stockings on Christmas morning. Yeah, that's the ticket....
Very true Yeah, I guess with chocolates, you can win over ALL the tellers if she shares. If you work it right, you could have the entire branch cherrypicking for you :thumb: -LTB
Okay guys, now we have to stop with the chocolate, remember that ten pounds I needed to lose? MAKE IT 20 NOW! LOL I went out and bought chocolates...DANG YOU GUYS! lol
Chocolate coins, now that's an idea. I had thought about a card, but I think cards are a waste of money and and a cheap little card, well, comes across as a cheap little card. Thanks for the ideas evryone.
Cheap cards say "cheap", chocolate coins say "cheap chocolate". Get her some quality chocolate, it will go a long way. Richard
I would say a gift card from a local lunch type restaurant."Mcallisters ..Applebess's" or what ever is in your area. Also remember tips may cost her. her job. My X sister-in-law recently lost her job from something very similar to this
