My first coin from Liechtenstein

Very nice. I only got a couple of modern (1980's) ones.

 

Did Liechtenstein mint coins in the 1980's?

Sure, they issue collector coins only (and otherwise use Swiss francs), but in 1988 for example there was a silver and a gold piece. Same thing in 1990 (new prince) and 2006 (200 years sovereignty). That latest one I have - my only piece from LI - but the design is a little, well, different.

Thanks. I had hoped Liechtenstein issued circulating coins in the 80´s. Collector coins is not my cup of tea

 

I actually got two collector coins-- both silver 10 Francs, 1988 Franz-Josef II and 1990 Hans-Adams II.

I got them since l liked the designs on these.
