Maybe I got it wrong. I was going by memory. It probably said 5/29 like yours. I place my order about 40 minutes ago
Sets I ordered say backorder until 5/29. I finally got thru!!!! But man they need to do something about their website on heavy flow days, and like I said the phone system to place a phone order was completely out of service.
I hit Mint headquarters at 10:30, Union Station at 11:00 and back to Mint headquater at 12 noon. Mission acomplished ..now to put on the gloves and load the flips!
finally, I had problems logging in so I check out as a guest shopper. They said that the order is back ordered, go figure.
They were back ordered after about 11 or so minutes of being on sale, dont worry, I think those that ordered within the first 12 hours or so should be fine. I say SHOULD,
Glad some of you are getting them! I "pre-ordered" a "P" & "D" "set" of two coins from ebay just to have them... Hated to pay $1.74 for the pair, but at least I will have the "P"... Here in San Diego, I can not get the "P"s of course.
They will be fine for getting them I think, but I don't know about getting them shipped in a timely manner. As I mentioned before, I ordered about 2 hours after they went on sale, and they just sent me an email saying they would be shipping out last week, expected to arrive tomorrow. (for the last set.)
I wonder if I should break them open and put them all in 2x2s. Maybe I should just keep them in the mint rolls and such and see if I can come across bank rolls of them in the future. What do you guys or gals usually do? That or sell them on ebay for $7,000 - someone will buy the paper!
200,000 t0 300,000 sets. that's is my prediction. still open for ordering. no sell out. order in process immediately. afraid you might cancel it again. i think everyone should have them.
Keep them in original mint packaging... Until they sell out... Then maybe, once they get a little crazy, you might want to sell them... That is what I'm going to try to do
Everyone seems to get all panicky about being on "back order" when its really not that big of a deal. The mint puts orders on back order when there is a limit per househoold. It needs time to make sure that you didn't order more than you were allowed. Not that anyone has ever tried to do that, thinking that nobody would check...hahahahaha. So don't get all hyper about it and chill ...you won't see these coins until July anyway ..so sit back and relax.
