    Ebay issues

That is how Ebay works seems like. They don't care either you a buyer or seller, as long as they get their money. Also on the other end. The seller should have ask question regarding the coin. If I see this, I usually ASK QUESTIONS. Most of the time when buying older coins from Ebay especially them Bust coins, alot of them have been cleaned like I've said before. I would ask the question if the coin has been clean before before bidding on the coin. Alot of the time the seller will get back with the answer. So either way for you Mark as a seller I do feel for you. I just don't agree with giving money back to customer unless they request for refund cause they don't agree with the pic and the coin. Also the buyer should have email you first before giving the feedback. I have return coin and still give the seller a possitive feedback. It is the right thing to do. Either for buyer or seller.

Also sorry for giving you such a negative respond reply earlier Mark regarding the post. Good luck with your selling. So do you have an Ebay store or what is your ID for your auction. I would like to see whatelse you are selling that I might be interested in.

    Thanks

What is ridiculous is hasty buyers, who don't think about emailing first...
They need to see what it is like in our sellers' shoes...

Hi NG230, AVI did contact me before leaving his feedback but he was demanding a full refund plus an extra $40 for waste of time and sadness. At the time I was not willing to pay the extra $40 and so he gave me the negative. If you read my 1st post here on the 2cd page it explains everything including the photos. My eBay user name is mlicht4139 and my store name is TORNADO ALLEY COINS. I sell mostly foreign coins but will be getting back to listing US again soon.
Thanks for the post. Kind regards, Mark

I've skimmed through the posts and I feel that a seller shouldn't have to give extra money like this. I think offering a 7 day return policy for full refund is great and plenty fair. It is my personal opinion that sellers should also refund the shipping costs they charged to cover the return shipping...but any more than that is ridiculous to me. I think you were plenty fair and in my experience sometimes you do everything right and still get a negative. That's just the way it is.

It's true that the photographs wasn't the best. You tried to make good on the deal and that wasn't good enough in the buyers mind so IMHO that's "too bad."

Hi CameroDMD, Agreed, I do not think its to much to ask for return shipping on a case like this but there are times when people bid in haste and do not read the the whole ad and want full refunds & shipping costs. I sold an 1890s George Washington Medal that was made in rubber & after more than a 100 years it had hardened into plastic(it was a RARE piece). All this was explained in the auction but when the customer received it he was furious with me that it was hard plastic. I ended up paying all fees but I felt it was unfair that he had not read the ad. I charge $2 ship to anywhere in the world so paying return shipping is no big deal in my book.
    Thanks, Mark

    PS.....GO DUCKS!
