Is it a better dael to buy one 1996 w dime for 12$ (no shipping) or the 11 coin mint set for 17.99 ($6.00 shipping )
I'd say just the dime for $12. If you end up buying the mint set, you might as well cut the rest of the coins out and spend them. If you're lucky, you might even get full bands.
W Dime There was a seller on Ebay that had auctioned quite a few rolls of W dimes. It was a couple years ago, the coins were still in the original wrap if i remember right. Rolls were probably around $1250.00 for 50 coins. The sets were selling around $22.00 back then. I purchased mostly sets back then, single coins were purchased already graded. Complete sets might have a price niche someday, as so many sets are broken up. But the W dime is in it's own wrapper, so they can easily be put into a broken up set.
Got this on ebay a few years ago for $15. I figured either buy this or the whole set when all I really needed was the dime for my collection. Deals are out there, just gotta keep your eyes open. Good luck.
