Just got my 2009 ULTRA HIGH RELIEF GOLD COIN today. What a beauty. Now I have to explain to the wife how we can afford it. BTW; The box is almost as beautiful as the coin.

I really can't do it justice. But as lame as my pictures go, I will try. Some photo's, some scanned.

Really sorry about the pictures. The scans didn't come out because of the plastic caseing. The photo's didn't come out because I don't know how to use a camara. Here's a couple of more scans.

 

JFYI, anything with any relief will not scan, as I am sure you can tell now. It has to be flat on the scanbed to show any detail.

 

as you can tell if you check my albums, I am not an expert photographer by any means, but the one bit of advice I can really give is to use a tripod for taking pics of coins.... at least with my camera I have to get zoomed in close enough to get the shots that any hand shake comes through loud and (un)clear...

I post this to try and hide my jealousy of you for being able to get one of those..... what ever your wife thinks, you can always tell her that everyone on here thinks it was a good idea....

Thanks Cwart, I was truly amazed at my wife's reaction. When she saw the sparkle of that gold, she melted.

 

Even if you took it out it would still not scan, with the coin being high-relief. But you can take a pic/

 

Ha ! ha ! Green, I would, but she's smarter than all get out, when it comes to me spending our kids inheirtance. Her next question was, how are you going to split that three ways ?
