Ouch! I see there are no returns. I know nothing about the values of these coins, but IMO it is still a nice coin. Why don't you attach your own grade, see what that grade is worth, and compare that to what you paid. I did zoom in on the coin with my computer, and for what it's worth it certainly does appear to be the coin you bidded on. Zooming in on them really helps. If you go back to the coin zoom-in on it you'll see what I mean.

This is copied right out of YOUR listing.

If the seller does not respond or gives you any hassles, avail yourself of it.

Lesson learned, i do not do ebay for single coins but i looked at the site and for a few hunderd bucks i would want a larger picture to look at.

If you try through the seller, Paypal, or ebay to get your money back I would be curious to know how much support you as a buyer get. He does clearly state no refunds and we all know how "subjective" coin grading is, but it is clearly not a AU-BU. Keep us posted if you try and if you do good luck.

Well first I never ever pay attention to how a seller grades or describes a coin. Then if the pictures are not nice enough to see and determine a grade for a coin then I do not bid. I do not worry about all the auctions I lose and I have been bidding less and less here lately.

I think the seller made it clear there were no returns, you can try and if he is a decent seller he will let you return the coin. Otherwise you bid on the coin and you may have to live with it. Still while not AU-BU mark free it still is not a bad coin - just my opinion. And no I have not check prices on these puppies.

He can say no refunds all he wants... he has no say in the matter.

Geez guys... as long as you used PayPal and/or a credit card to pay for an item, you NEVER have to live with anything you buy on eBay.

Like rlm's cents said, it says right in the auction that if you use PayPal you are covered 100% of your purchase price.

Contact the seller and see what he says. If he won't refund your money or wants a restocking fee, go straight to PayPal and make a claim. They will as you to ship the coin back to the seller using registered mail and will refund your full purchase. Nuff said.

Here is his reply to my inquiry for a refund:

i may be getting old but not blind coin i sent you was not scratched. there were enough bidders wanting this coin at the steal price you paid. you must be a dealer???? or working with a dealer coin was sold with no return since it was valued at 1500.00. i have over 2000 feedbacks and never a complaint on description.if you are not happy i suggest you re list it and from the e mails i received you will probably make a profit. there is no return and i do not let buyers blackmail me into discounts. you can be sure i will be with pay pal about this to see how your feedbacks and returns are as compared with mine. old man len

File with PayPal - significantly not as described. It is a pain and takes time, but you WILL get your money back.

You could tell this was going to happen... I mean even his listing had attitude. Sellers like this real tick me off...

Anyway, file your claim with PayPal and leave him a big fat negative.

I would think these types would tarnish ebay to the degree the revenue they generate is not worth having them.

You know grading is surely subjective. But there are not many people around that would have the audacity to call that coin "BU". I doubt any of the off-brand grading services would even try to call that coin an UNC.

For the record my feedback is 100% and have DSRs of 4.9 in every category.

I give refunds anytime someone is not happy, but to be honest I have never had anyone ask.

I was really excited when I bought that coin. Was expecting a real looker...when I saw what I had, it ruined my day!

I think the true value of this coin is more like $100-$150.
