I am looking for someone who speaks French well, to translate my web site (www.FrenchBanknotes.com) to French. If there is some kind and interested person, please contact me. I've made a very brief start on it, just to make sure I can actually do it technically, but my French is poor enough that I'm sure the entire continent would be chuckling as they read it Thanks, Dave
Je ne se qua Cool site, Dave! Thanks for putting it up. I really appreciate efforts like this and I learned a lot browsing the list. Now that I have seen the run, I think I can pick out Bank of France work when I come across it. I was surprised, also, at the countries for which they printed notes. I expected the African states and other former colonial areas, but Montenegro, Romania, Yugoslavia, etc., were new and I really was happy to learn about the German occupation note Merchant Hans Imhof.
Thanks very much, guys. I really enjoy finding the oddball French note issued in someplace you'd never expect. Dave
i cant help with any translation that would make sense lol but i do love the notes on your site! I know the context of any translation would be suspect at best, but have you looked into maybe a free translation service like Yahoo or Googles??
Yes, that's actually what I've been doing. I've translated a few pages through Google, looked at them for obvious issues, and that's what I'm using at the moment. I'm figuring it would be easier for someone doing the real translation to have this to start with, than just giving them the English version. But yeah, as it stands it's suspect. Thanks Dave
