Hi everyone, hope your Saturday was a good one, not bad here was in upper 80's here in Connecticut Plus I hit my local pawn shop and got a few new coins:thumb: , will post in other thread as need to take some pic's. I need some help from all great minds on here, I have 95.00 dollars in face value kennedy halfs all are in about under MS 60 I think, and none are silver, please remember still learning the fine art of coin collecting, and I'm so happy I found such a place online as Coin talk, as you are all the best people I have meet in short time I have been here .... Years on half's are as follows 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1976 plus a few 1980's, I know these are all clads as I have taken out all of the 90% and 40% and have them buried in my back yard , ok just kidding on that :secret:, I got them in littleton custom coin folders to start as other folders I price out runs in alot of money.Would clad ones be worth anything over face? Or would it be just best to take to bank and cash in for some rolls of cents, dimes ect? Was also thinking way ebay is might beable to sell over face?(1.00 each?) Any thoughts on that?.Any help on this would be great I hope this is not a dumb question as I'm still learning the fine art of coin collecting, here is a picture of a few of them please excuse picture as still learning that to. :headbang:. thank you for any help, and just A little back ground back in August my dear motherinlaw past on :crying: and most of coins where hers, and thats how I got started on this great hobby. Also any thoughts on this coinvalues magazine? I pick up a copy other day and pretty good reading on Lincoln's New Look. Are coins vaules in there cost to what they say? Or is it some what like PCGS on over rated vaules? Carl
Alright Carl....they were your mother-in-laws coins? One question. How do you feel about (excuse the term) the old girl. What does your wife think? Carefully weigh this old boy.......These coins may be better off in a memorial collection, or, e-bay, or...roll'em and turn 'em in to the bank. That any help?
Yeah, I agree with this, that's pretty much the cold, harsh truth, Carl, unless you have any of the S-mints. Sorry about that. I'd just turn 'em in to my bank. EDIT: Is that middle one an Eisenhower Dollar? If it is, I'd hold onto that, it looks in decent shape.
yes it is , lol , you guys missed other coin, that is a 1998 5 dollar gold eagle, just thought someone would see it. Soon i hope i will beable to take better pics. carl
If they are circulated yeah just spend them but you can always take them to a local coin dealer & see what they say.
LOL, I noticed it, I just thought that was a blurry magnification of that area on the Ike. So credit me with the Ike and credit me with an assist on that $5 gold.
yeah I tried to unload some bicentenials and just barely cleared more than face value on a lot of them...
just for fun of it what do you think a 1998 5 dollar gold eagle is worth raw about ms 69? Will post pictures when i can get a good pic of it, everytime i take pic it shine so much you can't see coin clear carl
