    The note's ooooooo1*& 00000002* were in an envelop Oakland California for 33 year. then her grandson found it and she gave them to him. both grader AU-58 EPQ
    Heritages per auction estimate $20-30,000

    I'm sure Grandma was shocked to here the news :eek: on the value of those notes she had in her sock drawer for 33 years...

    The story is published in this months Banknote Reporter Pg 1 and pg 24.
    The #2 SN note is believed to fetch between 4-6K for that note.

    It is a nice story....with a great outcome and one lucky grandchild!

    See, I would have sold the #2 note first as the "lowest reported" serial number for the series....and then sold the #1 serial a few months later. ;)

    wow, that is totaly awsome, and a great reminder to everyone that existing rare or limited notes can easily be surpassed tomorrow from someone elses sock draw :D

    hope the auctions fetch the highest prices possible :p

    Oh, to be the grandson....then again, I ain't got a clue about paper money and I might (albeit, might) go out and spend it....oh the humanity.

    The notes both sold for 29,900.00 to quote( Coin world )
    not bad for a pair of forgotten Au-58 $2.00 star's!
