At first I thought it had been washed. It cetainly has the feel of being washed. But why Are the serial #'s, seals and reserve number still bright?

it has been washed. sometimes when bills are washed for some reason only certain parts of the ink get removed. we have gotten a bunch of singles at work that a guy had washed in his jeans and they looked exactly like that

That makes sense. If I recall correctly, the serials are printed on a separate pass which means the ink for the serials may behave differently in the wash.

cool note... look at the reverse of the ghostly note :D there is a small triangle of 'normalcy' near the right center ... bet it took some weird set of circumstances to get that :D

Dang! I'm still gonna keep it though. Thanks. If you change your minds and it is more valuable, LMK. HAhaha

That is a correct observation as well. Very crumpled.

But if you had polymer this would not be a problem.

imnot convinced about that. I have never seen a cirulated example of a polymer note. all the plastic i have is unc.

anyone have an older polymer note that has seen alot of circulation? how well does it wear?

you're right that is weird looking. I suspect it was found in the lint trap of a dryer after a cycle through both washer and dryer.
