This may seem like a odd question......I have various books. So what I am asking is there a Specialized book on a year by year on what to look for in way of error, specs, mint marks......??????? instead of using three or four different book...any one know of any such beast??? thanks, Neal
A book with all that? Not that I know of. If you're looking for errors and varieties, Chuck Daughtrey's book "Looking Through Lincoln Cents" is the bible in that regard. There are what seems like a billion Lincoln books out there. Chances are, you're going to just have to break down and buy an armload to get everything you want. It's not a bad investment. Guy~
David Lange wrote a very good book that should fit the bill for you. I can't recall the exact name at the moment even though I bought this book only 2 weeks ago.
I just picked up the "looking through looking for lincoln cents" It is a MUST have if your going that route. I've never seen one with ALL the info.
John Wexler also has a book covering Lincoln Cents 1909-1939 - that is a fairly complete reference. You'll never find a complete reference - new varieties are discovered all the time.
