Has anyone seen Louis Braille?

Just curious folks. Has anyone received theirs yet?

I ordered mine within the first few hours they were released and I have received anything yet. My order status on the Mints web site says all products are In Stock and my order is In Process. So Im just waiting. I finally recieved my second Lincoln Proof on Saturday. This time around it has no water spots.

 

I ordered mine on the 26th too (along with other various sundry items) and the product status has been reading the same for almost a month: In Stock And Reserved. Nice to know I'm not the only one Joe. :smile

 

My order says the shipping date is about April 25th.

I friend form my local coin club bought his at the Whitmans Coin show in Baltimore and brought it to our last club meeting. It's a nice coin but not "spectacular" in my opinion.

My daughter, who works for the Foundation Fighting Blindness, bought me a gift certificate form the mint for Christmas, I used her gift as my means to purchase my proof and uncirculated Braille commemoratives....I thought it was appropriate.

I ordered 16 Hours and 53 minutes after they were made available on the website. (The introductory price of $37.95 will be in effect from 12:00 noon (ET), on March 26, 2009) I haven't received mine yet. Got the e-mail from the Mint telling me that my April 1 ship is changed to "Exp Ship: 4/16/09".

EDIT! I just checked my US Mail delivery to find an envelope from the US Mint. Inside surprise --- a brochure advertising the Braille coins along with an order form.... GO FIGURE!

Frustrating as the devil eh Silver Striker?

 

I got that pamphlet today in the mail and my mint profile says NOT to send snail mail ads to my home.......go figure.

 

I havent even seen Abe Lincoln.

 

When we all finally receive our coins, whoever ordered the easy open package needs to post this. I just really want to see what they are talking about.

Spock, Ed called me today and said that they are no longer shipping over seas.

 

Joe, I don't think they're delivering to the US.....what's with the shipping?

 

Ken, here is the crazy thing......listen to this.... When I received my UHR, it was shipped by FedEx, but delivered by UPS. My Lincoln was shipped by FedEx, but delivered by USPS. What's up with that? Man, I just wish they hadn't changed over.

I am going to have to talk to him about this. Ed and I are going golfing today. I will make sure he takes care of this. Ed told me that they were going to start charging double shipping charges for all coins going overseas. Sorry, I see they have already started doing that. He assured me he wasn't going to do it until this summer.

 

I have mine!! It arrived 30 min ago. I only ordered 1 proof. I like the coin, but I like Lincoln more.

 

Shoot Luis, when did you order it?

 

I ordered immediately after it was available. It got backordered (received e-mail about it on april 1st), and it shipped on the 17th (I received an e-mail warning me of this fact).
