Good luck man, i was finding 10+ wheats in each box when i did it, and plenty of au/bu cents from 59+, some reds, mostly red/browns. Let us know what you find, maybe you'll find that bronze 43 cent.

Happy hunting, hope you find something nice. For me it's hit or miss. One box had 4 wheat cents, the next had 70+ and an 1889 Indian head.

    Good luck!

Did you buy these for $3.50? I have only bought probably $50.00 in coins. Only been collecting for Just over a year. Found all wide ams. 3 True Doubled dies. And a crap load of (Error coins) good coins! I have a total of $50 invested in coins. Oh! Probably 10 pounds of wheats and 5 pounds of 59 or lower Jefferson nickels. Total cost O! I hope I hit a good one also....Thanks!

    I will guess 25 wheats. Been only averaging about 8 to 10 what's a box. 1 good error. And 15 AU/BUs

I forget the total mintage of LWCs, but for all the LWCs minted, there are billions and billions more LMCs, 2009's, and LSCs minted. It creates an enormous likelihood of finding those over LWCs. I think 10 per box is a fair number, given the skewed numbers exacerbated by collectors like us who know to snag those funny looking wheat stalks.

Absolutely, Its getting tough. I noticed in the past year. The last 20 boxes has decreased anonymously!

That's exactly 1 wheat per 6 rolls. That was our average when we used to search. And we were at it for some 20 years, give or take. So just expect 25, and when you finish you'll know whether the boxes were running average, hot or cold.

This seems right to me. It's been a few years, but I think my average was 8 as well. I didn't really notice a drop over those years, but I imagine it has to be dropping with the billions of cents produced over the last few years and the scarcity factor skewing in favor of LWCs, IHCs and should be going up.

Really no good errors to speak of. Pennies were very dirty. End up several wheats though
