I have a feeling these are counterfeit, first off because the seller has 0 feedback. http://cgi.ebay.com/this-is-the-rea...5|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50
You have good instincts. What are the odds that a previously-unknown genuine 1804 Silver Dollar would appear on eBay?
That is one disgusting bunch of fakes. (insert barfing smiley here) I reported it on the CFE Group so they will be getting reported to Ebay and anyone here can report them too. Nice catch! :thumb: Ribbit Ps: Welcome to CoinTalk! :hail:
300 is too much. My father got his for maybe $20 including S&H. Of course her returned his genuine 1804 for a full refund - including return shipping.
Gee, wow. Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Gotta Bid! Okay, now Punt!
The guy was NARU'ed from Ebay. He had a whole ton of key dates listed as real that were obvious fakes. And guess where he was from - hmmm, thats right---China. He also got a free fake morgan from someone from China also. When he reported it to paypal they refunded his money on the spot and did not even make him return the coin. I wish paypal had let him keep it also - it was an interesting coin even though it was an obvious fake.
Well thanks for the replies! I'm glad he got reported, I knew he must have been selling fakes, the 1804 wasn't slabbed or anything.
