1912 trade dollar?

    Another of these coins, with obvious British influence (is that Britainnia standing with trident, and the Union Jack on her shield?), but the motif of the back (reverse?) suggests Middle Eastern as well as Far Eastern use. 38.9 mm, 25 grams. All your comments appreciated

    Yes, that is Britania.

    Brittish Tade dollars were meant to be used in trade with Asian and Middle Eastern countries.

    Weight is a bit light.
    Possibly a counterfeit.

    Actually, waaaaaay too light considering the apparent condition. IMHO it is definitely a counterfeit. Look at the second "1" in the date, for example.
