I love designs from that era, but the six-odd years I lived in Lynchburg were the longest decades of my life, so I'll always have a hard spot in my heart for that particular commemorative.
It has a little rub on the cheek but I'll bet the graders call that "cabinet friction". Downplayed luster. I'm calling it 65 for those two reasons. Nice coin. BTW, you give us a temptation to cheat by displaying the PCGS cert number!
I figure it is like those puzzle books with the answers in the back. You can do the exercise and then check your work.
I'm sorry it is taking so long to post the reveal, but this is the first time I used this coin store in Phoenix which is only 200 miles from me and I thought I would have the coin in hand by now. The coin was graded MS65 by PCGS and I will post a picture when I receive the coin.
I would say MS-65, maybe 66. I am interpreting the darker areas on the high points as envelope toning. I don't see an MS-67 here.
@Charles Ruge - did you buy the coin based on the True View, or were there other photos provided by the selling store?
