I have a 1928 and a 1945 one penny coins. I'm wondering more where they're from than what they're worth. But any info is appreciated. the
1928 has a man with a gotee and around the edge it says GEORGIVS V
DEI GRA BRITT:OMN:REX FID:IMP:.The 1945 has a man without the gotee.
And says GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IMP. The back on both
have a sitting man holding a shield and a trident. Sorry I have no pics.

Georgivs V is King George the Fifth of Great Britain
Georgivs VI is King George the Sixth of Great Britain

The DEI GRA BRITT:OMN:REX FID:IMP: is a Latin abbreviation which means "By the grace of God, King of Great Britain and Defender of the Faith" The coins should also have "IND.IMP" which means "Emperor of India"

The lady on the back is Britannia.
