Please give me your opinions. 1880 1880-O 1880-S The 1880-CC doesn't need to be graded since it's in a slab. Here's a look at it.
The first two (1880 & 1880 O) are pretty scratched up, but they still have nice details, so I would put them in the AU range. The 80'-S looks good from the pics I would say around 63. It looks like it has a little bit of toning, the only thing I though looked a little strange was at 4 O'Clock on the obv (see the pics). Hows the luster on the coin?
Thanks for the look. Interesting. I must grade tougher. I see the 1880 as only XF. I agree with AU on the "O". I think what you are seeing on the "S" is the result of a bad image, but I'll dig it out and take a closer look. If there's no problem I'll call it a -62 or -63.
OK, first coin- I agree XF since the luster seems confined to just around the devices- very little wear to be seen. Second coin- AU53-55, again depends on how much luster is remaining, looks very nice. Third coin-- definitely MS-- looks like 63 for sure, maybe 64 if not too baggy. all in all, a very nice set.
