    I've been playing the wheat penny game recently, here is one of my prizes. it isn't in good shape but i still like it. (Geeez, i hope this is an RpM......i would feel sooooo stupid.....)

    Good eye. Looks like the FS-01-1956D-501 in the Cherrypicker's Guide.

    Better known as 1956D-1MM-001 or 1956D 1c RPM-001. nice find!

    Thanks to both of you, my new found understanding of re-punched mint marks would have never been so if it wasn't for your kind words.

    I did a little bit of market research. I would guess the grade to be around a 40-42 (Ef). A lincoln resource site has such a grade listed at 7.00, I also found one currently auctioned at eBay (about same grade) with the starting bid at 8.95. I didn't count on selling it, I just wanted to put a price on it so I can keep track of the collection. If I was looking to sell it.....I wouldn't let it go for less than $6.00 (including a 2x2 plastic snap holder). Can anyone agree with this?

    Well, there is no grade of 42. EF grades are 40 or 45. Your coin appears to be AU50, and it's worth $8-$10.
