    All are raw coins.

    I pretty much agree.
    I think the CC is more like a -20 than a -30.
    IMO the S is more like a -50 than a -53.
I believe the two MS coins are correct.

How severe is that scratch on the first coin? I bet if Doug was here he would say it would be body bagged.

It more depends upon what caused the scratch.
If there is reeding on one side such as caused by banging into other Morgans after being struck or in a Mint bag, then it would only affect the grade.
Body bagging would not be a consideration.

I agree, although I may go a bit higher on the CC. Maybe.

a scratch that is that deep and thin is very unlikely to be a bag mark.

    I can't see the images.

    I pulled them.
Wasn't getting the number of grading opinions I was hoping for.
Except for 1878, I think I was only getting one opinion for the other years.
So I'm going to discontinue these posts.

If you post them in separate threads it will be more human friendly.

Each thread only covered one year.
Doing it coin-by-coin doesn't make much sense to me.
That would mean 4 separate threads for most years.

    OK. Cool. It's your thread.

You want grades. Its hard to discuss grades with 4 in a post. This is just my opinion but I find it hard to discuss grading 4 coins in a thread.

But I definitely need to apologize for one omission by me.
I forgot to thank the people who did render opinions.

Thank you for taking the time.

You have to be a little patient sometimes. I just looked at this thread for the first time and would have happily graded the Morgans. I do agree with Ruben though, it is a little easier to grade individual coin threads though...but I would have graded four. ;)

Okay, I'll give it another try.
The images have been restored to this thread.

I would hopefully get 2-3 more opinions.

  18. 1879: MS 60-63
    1879-CC: VF30
    1879-O: I think I see a little wear on the eagle's breast, may be a slider though. AU 58 - MS 60
1879-S: AU 53... wear on the eagle's breast, and hair above the ear.

Some nice coins! I like the look of the CC... looks very smooth.

I agree with the 79' MS62 (Does have some pretty big hits though)

    79' CC- VF20
79' O- I'm going to agree with schroeder, I think there is some wear so I'll say AU 58
    79 S- Low AU range

I'll wait another day or two before I restore the 1880 Morgans.
That was the way I planned to keep from overdoing it.
One year at a time (2-4 coins) but only two years a week.

Now I have to chart your opinions.
    Thanks for looking.
