Have you checked doubleddie.com or Varietyvista.com for an exact match? They both have extensive lists of RPMs as well as doubled dies. This should always be your first stop. It's hard to see the details in your pics (nothing wrong with that, my camera stinks too), but since you have the coin in hand, checking these sites is probably the best option
From what I'm seeing both sides of the coin show evidence of a worn die. Your pictures aren't too bad, just the mintmarks are sooooo tiny! The die deterioration keeps me from seeing much of anything. Really though, nice pics and keep looking. as @Oldhoopster said, those sites are your best friend. If you were to find the listings and paste a link in the post, I think more people would chime in. You certainly are getting a better eye every day
I hate to keep pounding on the photo posts, but if you had posted your photos FULL IMAGE it would have really helped.
Not really. Earlier photos are better, but not crisp enough to confirm/reject. The placement relative to the known RPM suggests that your coin isn't a match, but better pics are needed by me.
That's why you need to go to the variety vista and doubled die websites listed previously. You have the coin in hand and have the magnification. Look for an EXACT match. Your pics aren't good enough to give an ID. It appears that more pics won't help, you're probably at the limit of your equipment. It will be a good learning experience
Oldhoopster summed it up nicely. These are better pics and what really helps your fellow enthusiasts here are pictures that mimic the photos that you see posted by the attribution sites (Wexler's, Variety Vista, Brian's Variety). When you post photos like the montages that they have, members here can usually diagnose your coin and offer you a pretty honest opinion of what you have. You'll see that over time, you will usually answer your own questions within that process, and as Oldhoopster suggests, it will be a good learning experience either way. Good luck on the next set of photos. This last set was pretty good and from what I see, it's a normal MM. But something to consider about the lightly circulated coins you come across: do a thorough exam of the entire coin. Especially on the 60's nickels. Many good DDOs and DDRs which many folks (most?) never even look for.
@Rayrayford2 When you upload your photos, two buttons appear: Thumbnail and Full Image. Click on FULL IMAGE so the photos are posted full size.
These are the only two RPMs on varietyvista.com: Compare them to your coin. If you think you have one of them go to the website and check the die markers.
