Hey guys, As I have gained an interest in the hobby, I noticed the 2009 Lincoln Dollar and thought it would be a nice piece to add to my collection. I ordered them the first part of March. I don't care how long it takes, they were back ordered and it takes a month to ship. But I got a shipment notification and I have tried UPS and USPS to try to track the shipments with the tracking number they provided. Both websites cannot find either tracking number. So, since I have one uncirculated and one proof, will they come in the same box if the order was placed at the same time. So, I do not know if the mint sent me ONE tracking number or TWO tracking numbers and I have no CLUE who they use for shipping. I have searched the forum, but I could not find the answer. Any help would be great. Cheers, Chris Kampmann
My shipments have been coming "SmartShip", or something along those lines. It appears that the long ship portion is FedEx, and then they are delivered to the post office (USPS), and then to your delivery address, it appears to track via FedEx.
The way the mint is functioning right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it was delivered by carrier pigeons.
I was having the same problem. The tracking number in the e-mail was written on two lines. Input the second line of the shipping # at fedex.com and it should give you what you need. I think.
u mean the pigeon that came in early this morning with the uhr actually had a UHR from the mint and i shouldnt have scared it away. boy now he tells us
Thanks guys, I checked fedex and it looks like they are out for shipment today. I cannot wait to see them in person. VERY EXCITED!!!
Geez, sorry, I didn't know. Is that why the shipping's so slow? I've been shooting at pigeons in the back yard for the last week.
Well you see the mint got the idea here, but didn't realize it was a joke. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3Pbt_-GkEA&feature=related After all they're in Washington where no one has a sense of humor.
