Thanks Ruben! I am happy where I am and yes I am "moving up the ladder" and I love it. I am such a people person. I love working with the public and helping my customers and try my best every minute of every day on my job. I just truly love what I do. That's what is important isn't it? 6 kids? WOW!
I'm checking out your site right now but had to talk about NYC for a minute! I LOVE IT! I went there 2 summers ago and want to go back and am so jealous that you get to live there. I went to Grimaldi's while I was there (the one near the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge) Then we enjoyed the view of Manhattan from Brooklyn Then had an ice cream cone from The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory (mine was butter pecan) while we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge! GOD how I miss it!
Back on topic. If it was me, I wouldn't keep the $100. If you want a $100 note in your collection I think there are much better examples out there that can be found in circulation. Sure, it's a low number but other than that it's just a normal $100 note. If it was a star note, I might be a bit more likely to hang onto it. I just think that $100 could be better invested elsewhere in the collection. Now, if it was a $1 I would be all over it. That's just my opinion though. With the $1, I might hang onto it. Since it's only $1, not a whole lot is invested so to me it would be fine to grab. But, again...nothing overly special in my eyes (but, I'm not a huge collector of fancy serials).
We were only there for 3 days because we had already spent a week in Cooperstown for my sons baseball tournament (Which Cooperstown is absolutely beautiful by the way). If I ever do the the chance to go back I will give you a ring. I tried to cram as much as I could into the short time that we were there and I know that there is SO MUCH that I missed. I will say I was never as exhausted as I was while I was there. I walked MILES AND MILES AND MILES! LOL
Oh yeah. We are walkers as a group. When I go other places and say I'm walking some where people look at me like I'm nuts. What is 40 minutes of walking ??? Walking is the best way to take in the town. It really is. BTW - I love Cooperstown as well. I love the headwaters of the Sacawana River and Glisten Lake. Great place and I wanted to work up there but it didn't work out at the hospital. Ruben
We stayed on Lake Ostego in the house called Summertime Hill. It rents for $4900 a week but no we didn't pay for it! LOL My family and another stayed in that house and my sons coach paid for it. He put all the families up in homes for the week. I think that is a ridiculous amount of money for a weeks rental. It was a cute old house but not worth that price. But hey I guess if they can get away with it then charge that price! LOL
I know crazy hugh? Well apparently people pay it so why not charge that price. That is a money making little town.
lol yeah they would be :mouth: i would probably try to keep the 100 and get rid of the single, or just keep both of them i suppose
I'll be honest....I think you have an awesome job. I'd love to be a bank teller...all that money...oh just think about it! lol so many opportunities:smile
LOL Thanks! I do love my job. It's not a high paying job but I work there because I want to, not for the money. I love everyone that I work with (how many people can say that?) I love most of the customers and am a real people person and love to help. I also am learning so many new things there that I think it's the perfect job for me. That and I'm about 5 minutes from home and a minute or so from each of my kids school and can leave to get them if they are sick and take them home and be back to work in a few minutes. I figure between gas and time alone I make more than what my paycheck actually says. Yes I could make more working in the nearby larger city here but I would be in the car driving another hour or so a day and paying more for gas. And going through money all day is a plus! Too bad I don't find more than what I do though.
