Wondering what your all opinions are on this Procopius. Seems like there are a lot of fake ones out there.

I am not an expert, and regret that I cannot give an opinion...

I only have one to offer as an example, but I do not think it would help...

Hard to tell. Could be a central government issue or a barbarous copy.

    Some tooling maybe?

To my non-expert eyes the coin looks good despite the strange irregular flan :wideyed:. For comparison see a similar follis being offered by NumisCorner below.

Looks OK to me....from the photo alone.

Stylistically it appears fine. But I agree with seth77's tooling concerns. While it is fiendishly difficult to tell from a photo, the beard, chi-rhos and shield details in the image are a bit suspicious. It could just be a very good condition coin that looks weird in the photos, but why, for example, the apparent lack of wear on the beard while the diadem is clearly worn?

It looks o.k. to me. A rough-and-tumble coin might very well have been struck roughly, in fact a poor flan could cause an unequal strike.

My Procopius weathered from a poor strike, and in its later life suffered even more.
