well I gotta say if it is a d its probably legit I cant see some one working so hard to make a dime and drop it at a cash register. at this point though I am pretty sure its an S but again I ajm loding these shots to let you guys judge

here I loaded the highest quality image I could get and cropped it so you can see it better than I can with my eyes

Turn the Flash off. Turn the Macro lens on. Your looking like some of our beloved ebay sellers now. :)

looks like an S to me too, but get a magnifying glass to be sure. You may want to invest in a jeweler's loupe to use. Makes me want to get a part time job at the stop n go!

F ebay, I dont play any of that funny crap, I am a hardcore coral buyer/seller and people on ebay love photoshop, I am not doing any of that.

I will snag another couple pics without flash gimme about 5-10 to load and crop.

I put the coins on a brown faux leather case to try and reduce backwash of light and set the camera to no flash (camera is a nikkon s50 digi) hope this helps out. I gotta say taking pics of coins is way easier than taking picks of corals.

the second pic is so you can see the time and date stamp on the photo.

I was all kinds of psyched about the new quarters because I am obsessed with hawaii, I was so mad when the hawaii quarter was so bland looking. there are so many of the quarters that they obviously spent a lot of time designing and almost nothing for probably the 2nd most diverse melting pot in our nation.

Just because someone uses photoshop to edit a photo does not mean they are a crook. The idea is to present a photo that most accurately depicts the actual appearance of the coin. Even for common date circulated Mercury Dimes, a great photo is worth a thousand words.

I don't condone juicing photos because that means the photo doesn't look like the actual coin. Feel free to read this thread about photoshopping coin photos.

yeah I understand using phtoshop for cropping and such but the reference I was making is akin to corals people doctor pics so the coral is not anywhere near a true representation and you cant ever prove it because corals do shift and morph ( the actual colors and body shape change under different lighting and flow rates) I would never play :"funny mony" games or tweak to suit for gain, its pathetic. I was just tryign to get a shot that showed what people were looking for/at emphasis on the mint mark if I have to enhance shadow to highlight a worn mint mark I dont consider that funny or doctoring as long as people know what was done. I shot some from an angle because I thought it might add emphasis to the mark to make it easier to see btu I wouldnt buff a pic to eliminate scratches or tweak color to make it look toned. do you know what I mean? I would not go out of my way to misrepresent a coin.
