I paid $3.00 for the coin. The peso went for $9. I wasn't sure how valuable these were so I stopped bidding. I have not seen one since. I should have kept bidding, but the guy who I lost to seemed a bit more determined that I was.

This one is not all that old but it only cost 50 cents years ago.
I'm not even sure it's real but I loved the design.

Well, it's not much but this is the rest of my little collection.
I picked them up one at a time over the past 40 years. Total cost $12.

I love this series as well, I have a practically-complete set. (Missing only a few keys!)

Let's crank it up a bit, eh? :D

Lots of these are sea salvaged. During World War 2, the contents of the Philippine Treasury were dumped into Manila Bay to prevent the Japanese from easily recovering them. I think they have more history than the high grade ones. Also, I have a 1903 proof 1/2 centavo and a 1904 proof centavo, no pics unfortunately.

I have a few US-Phillipines coins too. They are not worth much but are hard to find.

Elaine, these were the first two Philippino/US coins that I received a few years ago. I started collecting them a few years ago because a good friend of mine was Philippino and that was my kooky way of honoring him. But getting Philippino/US coins in WV is kinda tough. I have a few more that I will post that I have come across over the years.

I got this one in a junk bin. I have only one more philippino coin but it is more modern. I don't have it photographed so I can't post it.
