They do it once when you register your credit card, but it's just to make sure. They put it back later. Didn't know it happened twice.

I see. Just weird that they took it out twice. How long does it take them to put it back?

I don't remember. I signed up then a couple days later purchased and they offered a discount for using echeck? so I did that. It was never on a my CC bill. Try a search of FAQ on HA.com that should help. Also, calling customer service was a very pleasant experience for me.

Ok thank you for your help! I will probably call in the morning. It was just confusing because I didn't remember getting any kind of notice that they were gonna do that so my first thought was...did my identity just get stolen lol. But then again I have been known to jump to conclusions. Anyway, thanks again!

i dont remember them ever doing anything like this when i signed up. Is it something new?

anyway, i would call them, they will be able to clear up any mess/confusion.

Got an email back from them, apparently it is just a procedure they follow to make sure the card registered is valid. They said that both charges will be removed within 3-4 business days. Thanks for all your input!

I guess I never noticed that when I registered with them. So far I have been very happy with purchasing from them.

It is just like a brokerage account in reverse...they make 2 small deposits and you need to verify that with your accounts and report back to them....

Validation is critical when it comes to Auction's...buyer and sellers and of course the house fee!
