It would be cool to see a 2021 Buffalo nickel but it would make coin roll hunting a hell of a lot harder. Seriously though, I don't like the idea of recycling old designs, even if it's something as beautiful as the US renaissance era coinage. They're nice, yes, but they eventually become boring and even tiring to look at. The Silver Eagle is a great example of this. I would like to see more coins like the new 2021 quarter. There have also been some good ATB quarter designs though most are mediocre at best. Gaudens and Frasier's designs were sought after because the public had grown tired of the Barber/Morgan era coinage.
Just bustin chops Robert. So what do the people like myself want for a new design? I need to think about it myself. Nice question.
I personally say keep the Jefferson nickel, but use the original design. I saw this design and instantly loved it. Heres a newspaper clip I would totally buy. Not for that cost though. Adore the angle on Monticello and the aesthetic of the vegetation. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1938-newsp...927219?hash=item3febf95b33:g:Oy0AAOSwiMtc0Yfj
The tree makes it a little too cartoonish, but it needs something there to fill the space. The lettering on the obverse and date is reaaaaally nice too. Just my thoughts
Put a horse on the back, you can't ride a bison. With the exception of the 1% collectors the other 99% spend without looking, their reasoning, need before desire.
I'll bite: "What's a henweigh?" And is that lb or kg? And yes, I think a return to the Buffalo Nickel would be great! I would certainly Bisom!
