Just received the e-mail notifying me that the BR1 and BR2 are backorded to 4/16/2009

There was no mention of the BR3 changing.

My easy open Braille is back ordered to 4/10 The uncirc and proof are in stock and reserved... but the email says 4/16 ship date.

 

the easy open might not be a good capsule. i preferred the old type.

yes. you are right. 25,000 unc later on. just like the lincoln set. 50,000 proof later on.

 

it look like the mintage (if sell out) will be 275,000 for proof and 125,000 for unc. the lincoln is 375,000 for proof and 125,000 for unc.

Well it took what, 2.5 months for the Lincoln to sell out? I wonder if it will take more than 2.5 months to sell the Braille out. Though I'm sure most everyone is wondering if the buying frenzy from the Lincoln and the Braille is just due to the absenteeism of the 2009 ASE proof.

But in the end I think the Lincoln will gain so much popularity, it will dwarf the Brailles. Coming out with new Lincoln pennies this year certainly can't be helping the Braille supporters either. My vote goes for the Lincoln, because 100,000 extra coins just doesn't seem like that much more to me.

And to answer the original question, no I will not be getting the Braille, that money is being saved for something special this year.

i second the motion. i will pass the braille commems. i am reserving the money for american buffalo proof one ounce gold, 2009 clad proof set, and 2009 silver proof set.

 

nope, not me I'm waiting for the BSA dollars next year. That is going to be the big one I think
