how common is it to find a franklin half?

I don't know anything about that. Sorry. Our main branch is the one who orders that stuff. If I wanted them I would just let them know. They usually send me one box of each of the new dollar and quarters that come out. I live in a small town and a few come in asking for them but not too many so we actually have lots still sitting in the vault. I haven't seen a new 09 cent yet. I'm assuming that when they get them they will send me a box of those as well.

 

I can't sleep right now! Yep I'm in Central. It's just turning Midnight here. I was at a friends house late then when I get home I can't go straight to bed. Just not sleepy right now.

 

If you feel your area is oversearched for halves please tell us the general area where you are at. I'm in Las Vegas and I think it has been oversearched out here. Lots of casinos using 50 cent pieces as chips and I've gotten a few rolls from banks but nothing in them from before the 70's.

 

I picked up two more Franklins out of rolls yesterday. One has the look of being dropped into the garbage disposal for a few seconds.

I got 4-1964's and a dozen 40%ers also from the three boxes I searched.

Will go through another 5 boxes tonight and getting ten more boxes on Thursday.

Got a canoe trip with all my dogs this afternoon and work before that first.

That's a lot of boxes. I mention that, because I know dealers who order and search that level. What the heck, they have "down time" in their shops, and how much can one polish the furniture? It's free inventory to them...
