Prize I figured I would start with the prize as that’s the thing that everyone is here for. The prize for this contest is a circulated $1 star note that I pulled out of circulation. Now, I may make it 2 $1 star notes…I’m not exactly sure what I have available for a contest right now. I’ll go through my stuff tomorrow and will give specific prize information then. But, it’s going to be 1 or 2 $1 star notes from around 2003 circulated. Rules OK, so what I want to do is have a “20 Questions” type game in which you try and guess something about another hobby of mine. Some of you may know that I am a man of many hobbies (one of which is coin/currency collection) but I have other interests. One of them is cars. I am currently restoring a car and I just love automobiles. So, what I want you to do is name a specific car off my “dream car collection” list. Now, what I mean is you need to post a “yes or no” answerable question for me to answer about the car. The goal is for you to use these as hints to determine the car. The first person to do so wins. Here’s the thing though, you MUST post your questions in the thread. I will come along every once in a while (hopefully a couple times a day) and answer all the questions that have been posted since the last answer. So, everyone will be able to see what your question was and the answer. So, use your “opponents” questions to your advantage. No PM questions will be accepted. If I can’t answer the question “yes or no” I will ask for you to elaborate. The first person to the car’s Year, Make and Model in a question (so…something like “Is it a Date, Make, Model?”) wins! So, here are the main simplified rules. 1. Post a “yes or no” question for me to answer about the mystery car 2. You may only post one question per “answer cycle”…so, if I haven’t answered your question yet you may not post another (now, I will answer every question that has been asked since the last time I answered…so if I miss one you may repost it). Once I answer your question you may post another 3. You must have been a registered member of Coin Talk since before March 1, 2009. 4. First person to ask a question specifically asking if it is a specific Year, Make and Model will win. 5. Questions may be as specific or vague as you want but they must be a yes or no question. 6. It may be ANY car, truck, motorcycle or other road vehicle that has ever been built. A Suggestion Think very carefully about your questions. You may make it more confusing for yourself if you ask a poor question. Here is an example…let’s say for the sake of this example, the mystery car is a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro. If you asked the question “Is it a V6?”…I would have to answer “Yes” because ’97 Camaro’s came with both V6 motors or V8s. But, that car is very famous for having a V8 engine so this question could throw you. So, be aware of that. One more thing, all you have to do is give the Year, Make and Model to win. You don’t need a sub-model. So, going with the ’97 Camaro example again…if that is what you thought the mystery car was, you would want to answer ”Is it a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro?”. You don’t need to say Camaro Z-28 or Camaro SS. I’m not looking for something that specific. Good Luck and Have Fun!!!
