Got some more duce. Canadian this time 54, 74 and 2X86. The 2 that look the same are not. The sigs are different and one of the B's is larger. Had to get it cause serial started with BBC. Also, learned to be careful on dealers BU notes. I started with taking them out to make sure, but then the guy seemed upset, so on the last one I didn't. My mistake, as it is AU insted of BU. Can you guess which one. Shows up really bad in pics. Anyway here they are (new cam, the user is the problem I think):
Ahhh.....to be young again. I use to love gawking at our notes when i was a kid. The bird series were awsome too. BTW, the 1954..is it a devil's face variety?
Dollar1948, thanks. She used to be a hottie, but thats how aging goes I guess. No it's not the devils head variety. If I squint, I do see a catfish monster head looking profile though.
thanks! I was just getting ready to post a summary of my experiences. I'll have it ready soon. Noost was nice enough to buy, and then give to me, a 2009 P and 2009 D Lincoln log cabin cent. Thank you very much!
Which is an AU instead of BU?? well, its tough to tell by the images... but the first note has some 'crinkling' most probably from handling and has a couple spots, the second note has chicken pocks, but only in the early stages as they spot arent all there yet. the third and last note also has spots... hmm .. either its a chicken pocks epidemic for paper money... of your scanner was dirty lol if i had to guess, i would say the 1st note posted is AU and not BU ... i think there is evidence of folding or slight 'bend'.
I remember spending those bad boys before the two-nie came about and replaced it. Mine bought mostly beer. Hmmm...mis-spent youth, or youth spent correctly?!?!?
lol.. spent correctly.. is that really a choice i am not a drinker... so i am not one to help answer that positively rhetorical question lol no hold the phone... Noost... borgovan... your both from my neck of the woods... What coin show did you attend? I hate being the last to know
Today we were at the Northwest Detroit Coin Club show in Livonia. It's held twice a year; spring and autumn. We met previously at the Wayne show, which is only once a year. I'm at almost every show around here. Which ones do you attend? A bunch of us will be at the big MSNS show in April. Hope to see you there.
Daggarjon, it was in Livonia I believe. THere is a show coming up the end of next month, in case you haven't heard called MSNS. You going? And you're right, it's the first one. These chicken spots, what are they/causes them? I see them alot. Something to be worried about? How to get it to stop? Thanks.
Noost, if the spots are NOT on the notes, then its your scanner. If they are on your notes, mystery solved I would love to meet up with you guys at the next show. I might even have money with which to buy with lol tht one??
I do believe thats it. The spots are on the note, those are pics. I thought they were supposed to be there (eurion thingie?).
to the best of my knowledge, which is limited on notes from Canada... but no, the spots are not the EURion symbol. That symbol is a tight nkit grouping of little round circles closely resembling the constellation. And the 2 deuces of the same design would have the spots in the same locations if it were meant to have them. I dont know much at all about the currency north of the border... so the dots could be like the US colored fibers?! maybhe they are supposed to be there and the location is random....
Great notes! I love the old two dollar bills (and the old canadian paper). I may be biased as I'm from Canada though
Sorry The Noost, borgovan... looks like i will not be able to make the MSNS show i cant go thursday or friday... got work to attend to. My daughters B-day is April 20th.
