but if you can find a much better condition in bags or rolls. that coin will worth very high. it is better than the mint unc set where most coins are in the ms67 and up.

How do you know the total 2009 mintage? I think that they are still making them.

usually in the other years - once the Mint makes the business strike Kennedy halves - thats it, they make no more. Now the 1.7 million for this year does not count the number of satin strikes they make for the mint sets at the end of the year

the mint should have produced a little bit lower or higher. instead of identical number.

 

I'm just glad they keep making them. I've always been partial to half dollars, no matter which design. Many complain that the mint keeps producing these, but they are not making billions of them at a loss...and people are buying them.
