As I already mentioned in the thread "World Paper Money Uno", I am usually at the Ancients Coins forum. I collect ancients, but this afternoon my son-in-law, Eric, showed me these paper money he has from his grandmother. He is not a collector and just keeps them all together and loose in a drawer. Maybe someone can advise how to best keep paper money? As you can see some have "dog-ears" ... 1 Koruna Protektorat Bohemia& Moravia 1 Mark, Allies 1 Mark, Lagergeld (prisoners of war) 10 Korun Slovakia 10 Korun Bohemia & Moravia 10 Kroon, don't know if this is from Poland:
Yes, there are plastic and mylar sleeves made to protect currency...just google or try Amazon...imo...Spark
I would buy a nice Currency album and buy the sleeves if need be , I forget if mine included some . Currency Supplies | Discount Currency Supplies (wizardcoinsupply.com)
The red triangle on the 1 Mark denoted it was issued for a camp or containment area for political prisoners.
An interesting little group of notes. Was the grandmother from Czechoslovakia? Your last note (10 kroon) is from Estonia.
Some Hungarian ones, all had been used a lot and folded, but what a cool design: 10 Pengö 20 Pengö and 100 pengö
Even though your Hungarian notes are well-circulated @cmezner, they are also quite aesthetically pleasing. Perhaps I'll try to pick up a few graded examples in the future.
