I'm confused again LOL. I want to buy a coin from the upcoming (Balitmore coin show) Heritage auction, but I have never bought a coin from Heritage before. I want to pay by money order, but do I have to have a credit card, or something on file (like as cover, I think I read something about that). Or is it as simple as winning the auction, and getting the invoice, and sending them the money order(I'm guessing they will give me an address). Has anyone sent them money orders before? Thanks everyone, I bet CoinTalk will be more helpful than Heritage, I sent them a question 3 days ago, and still nothing.:desk:
I think you need to have an account wit them before you can bid. I would call them, very nice and helpful. Just won first auction a week or so ago. They are gicing 1% off if you do direct from your bank account. Also, take paypal and checks I believe. Call and get started is the fastest way.
Thanks Noost, I have already signed up a while ago just so I could see the full pics. Taking it straight out of the bank account sounds pretty good, I guess I'll be giving them a call tomorrow.
Raider, Yes you may pay them with a MO! Once the auction is completed usually 1-2 day's later they will send you and email invoice. Print it off and send it to the addy and your good to go
My only purchase from Heritage was a $4,000 coin. I mailed them a check and they shipped the coin after the check cleared. No problem whatsoever.
I have made several purchases from Heritage sig auctions last year, I usually paid via paypoo since they do NOT upcharge for using paypoo. Some of the purchases were fairly decent sized too. One thing I love is they do NOT sit around on your payment and wait forever to send your items, tracking shows they send stuff right away.
Thanks everyone for the help. I called Heritage today and they were very nice, and very helpful. I set up the Echeck account because it should be faster. Now all I have to do is win the auction LOL.
